About Me
Hi, I’m Parastoo Rashidian, a fashion design student based in Manhattan, NY. My true passion lies in the world of fashion and art, which I am currently pursuing at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Here, I am honing my skills in design, pattern making, and garment construction. My work is characterized by a fusion of technical precision and artistic creativity. Beyond fashion design, I am also an avid painter, with my artworks featured in various exhibitions. Welcome to my world, where each design and painting is a testament to my dedication and love for fashion and art.
A Brief Background
My journey has been a blend of technical rigor and creative exploration. I hold a Bachelor and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Guilan University, where I developed strong problem-solving and project management skills. Despite my success in engineering, my true passion has always been fashion and art. This led me to pursue an Associate in Applied Science degree in Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I am honing my skills in design, pattern making, and garment construction. My background in engineering, combined with my creative drive, provides a unique perspective in my fashion designs, allowing me to merge precision with artistry. In addition to fashion, I am also an avid painter, expressing my creativity through vibrant and detailed artworks.

Experience at Audentes
Fashion Design Internship
My internship at Audentes in New York, NY, provided me with valuable hands-on experience in fashion design. I played a crucial role in crafting and distributing colors, trim, and fabric development sheets, and assisted designers with Illustrator sketches and designs using Adobe Photoshop. My work involved researching and shaping seasonal trends, which informed our development initiatives. Creating flat mechanical sketches allowed for seamless communication with technical design and overseas teams. This internship significantly enhanced my skills in design and trend analysis, preparing me for future challenges in the fashion industry.
